  1. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to LO.
  3. Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector, terminal B6, to ground using a J 39200 .

Does the voltage measure greater than the specified value?

1.0 V

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector for the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal D, to ground.

Does the voltage measure greater than the specified value?

1.0 V
