The internal fault detection is handled by the driver information center (DIC).
The DIC monitors the analog input value once every ignition cycle at power up.
The DIC does not detect the compass sensor. This may be due to a faulty sensor or a remote sensor (sunroof only) that is not connected to the DIC.
The DTC will be set and stored in non-volatile memory.
• | The DTC will become history when the DIC no longer detects a failure. |
• | The history DTC will clear after 100 fault free ignition cycles. |
• | You may clear the DTC with a scan tool. |
