  1. Disconnect the horizontal adjuster motor connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the horizontal motor fore circuit terminal in the adjuster motor connector to positive voltage.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Connect a test lamp from the horizontal motor fore circuit terminal in the adjuster motor connector to ground.
  2. Press and hold the power seat switch in the forward direction.

Connect a test lamp from the horizontal motor aft circuit terminal in the adjuster motor connector to positive voltage.

  2. Press and hold the power seat switch in the aft direction.
