The DIC/RKE fuse receives B+ at all time. B+ is applied through the DLC/RKE fuse circuit to the remote control door lock receiver. When the remote control door lock receiver receives a signal to open the rear compartment, it applies voltage through the RFA link circuit to the BCM. The BCM then applies voltage to the rear compartment lid release actuator. This releases the rear compartment lid. The rear compartment lid actuator receives ground at all times.
A constant ground circuit is applied to the rear compartment lid release switch. When the switch is pressed, a ground signal is applied to the BCM through the rear compartment lid release input circuit. The BCM then applies voltage to the rear compartment lid release output circuit. The voltage is then applied to the rear compartment lid release actuator causing the rear lid to be released. The ground for the rear compartment lid release actuator is applied at all times.
Important: On the Chevy Impala Police Vehicles Only (9C1) the rear compartment lid release is powered through the BCM with the ignition on. And will not open with ignition off.
