Removal Procedure

Notice: Allow sufficient clearance around the transaxle oil cooler pipes and around the hoses to prevent damage or wear which may cause fluid loss.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 948351  Size: SH
  3. Remove the inlet and outlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler lines from the support clip (1) and (3).
  4. Remove the inlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler line from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  5. Remove the outlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler line from the lower radiator side tank. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Remove the inlet and outlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler lines from the auxiliary transmission oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the inlet and outlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler lines to the auxiliary transmission oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 948351  Size: SH
  3. Install the inlet and outlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler lines to the support clip (1) and (3).
  4. Install the outlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler line to the lower radiator side tank. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  5. Install the inlet auxiliary transmission oil cooler line to the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Notice: Do NOT overfill the transaxle. The overfilling of the transaxle causes foaming, loss of fluid, shift complaints, and possible damage to the transaxle.

  8. Adjust the fluid level.
