Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Remove the wiper drive system module. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 334247  Size: SH
  4. Remove the wiper transmission caps.
  5. Remove the wiper transmission screws.
  6. Remove the wiper transmission from the wiper drive system module tube frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 334247  Size: SH
  1. position the wiper transmission to the wiper drive system module tube frame.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install wiper transmission screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the wiper transmission caps.
  6. Install the wiper drive system module. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .
  7. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  8. Operate the windshield wipers and inspect for proper operation.
