Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 519555  Size: SH
  1. Lower the right insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  2. Remove the screws from the instrument panel (I/P) compartment.

  3. Object Number: 813480  Size: SH
  4. Open the I/P compartment. Disconnect the I/P damper cables, if equipped.
  5. Depress the side stops located on the sides of the I/P compartment.
  6. Carefully remove the /IP compartment.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 813480  Size: SH
  1. Align the I/P compartment to the opening.
  2. Depress the side stops located on the sides of the I/P compartment.

    Install the I/P compartment to the I/P compartment opening.

  3. Connect the I/P compartment damper cables, if equipped.

  4. Object Number: 519555  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the I/P compartment screws.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Close the I/P compartment. Verify that the I/P compartment is properly aligned. Adjust the compartment as required.
  8. Install the right insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
