Removal Procedure
- Remove the covers from the front end of the seat adjuster track by spreading the two rear feet and pulling forward.
- For the manual seat, remove the retaining screw from the rear of the seat adjuster track. Remove the covers from the track.
- For the power seat, spread the track cover arms (1) and pull rearward to remove
Installation Procedure
- For the power seat, to install the covers (1) spread the arms and push forward onto the rear end of the seat adjuster track.
- For the manual seat, position the covers to the rear of the seat adjuster track. Insert a screw to secure each track cover.
- Install the covers to the front end of the seat adjuster track.
Important: The rear adjuster cover with the straight inside edges fits the track nearest the door.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
