Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 458217 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Disconnect all electrical connectors from the electrical components attached to the lid.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the right quarter panel.
  4. Remove the wiring harness grommet from the right quarter panel, using a small, flat-bladed tool.
  5. Remove the wiring harness from the quarter panel.
  6. Remove the wiring harness grommet from the rear compartment lid, using a small, flat-bladed tool.
  7. Tie a string to the rear compartment lid wire harness. Allow enough string in order to feed the wiring harness back through the rear compartment lid.
  8. Remove the rear compartment wiring harness.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 458217 Size: SH
  1. Attach the rear compartment wiring harness to the string.
  2. Pull the string through the rear compartment lid until the rear compartment wire harness is within the rear compartment lid. Remove the string.
  3. Connect the electrical connectors to the electrical components attached to the rear compartment lid.
  4. Install the wiring harness grommet to the rear compartment lid.
  5. Install the wiring harness grommet to the right quarter panel.
  6. Connect the electrical connector to the body harness at the right quarter panel.
  7. Close the rear compartment.
