When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

Some dealers may comment on conflicting information regarding oil viscosity usage guidelines for 2003 L36 and L67 applications. Dealers may state the vehicle owners manual recommends 10W30 motor oil, while the engine oil fill cap states to use 5W30 motor oil.

Recommendation/Instructions:

For the 2003 model year, 10W30 or 5W30 motor oil is appropriate for the L36/L67 3800 applications. The use of either 10W30 or 5W30 motor oil will provide necessary lubrication for engine component wear protection.
