Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement Impala

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.
  2. Important: The speakers are to be replaced as a set.

  3. Remove the screws from both speakers.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker housing.
  5. Remove the speakers.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 443710  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the speaker. Position the speaker to the door.
  2. Install the speakers.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the speaker screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the speaker screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

    Important: Due to the lower trim fasteners close proximity to the speaker cone, the door trim must be installed with care.

  6. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in Doors.

  2. Object Number: 558957  Size: SH
  3. Remove the door speaker screws.
  4. Pull the speaker towards you. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker.
  5. Remove the speaker.

  2. Install the speaker.
