Don't Do This

Install a new horn equipped with a splash shield.

Do not replace the horn without a splash shield.

Technicians are to install a new horn equipped with a splash shield using the following procedure:

  1. Remove the inoperative horn. Refer to the Horn Replacement procedure in SI.
  2. Install a splash shield, P/N 89046906, on the new horn.
  3. Install the new horn so that it is turned approximately 90° from its original orientation. Position the opening of the new horn so that it faces toward the front of the vehicle.
