Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1263138 Size: SH
  1. Align the retaining tabs and install the recirculation housing to the HVAC module assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the recirculation housing screws.
  4. Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Align the slots on the recirculation actuator to the slots on the recirculation door shaft.
  6. Install the recirculation actuator on to the recirculation door shaft.
  7. Install the recirculation actuator screws.
  8. Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  9. Install the recirculation actuator electrical harness to the recirculation housing clips.
  10. Connect the electrical connector to the recirculation actuator.
  11. Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is calibrating. If interrupted improper HVAC performance will result.
