For 1990-2009 cars only
- Inspect for a damaged electrical connector or bent or corroded pins (1).
- Inspect for loose or damaged electrical solenoids (2).
- Inspect for damage to the manifold body (3).
- Inspect for damage to the valve lifter retainer (4).
- Inspect for a damaged or scored gasket sealing surface (1).
- Inspect for debris or restrictions within all the oil passages of the manifold (2).
- Remove and discard the LOMA oil manifold filter (3).
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.
Important:
• Do not disassemble the electrical components from the manifold. • Do not submerge the electrical components in cleaning solvent. • Do not reuse the manifold gasket. Always install a NEW service gasket during assembly. • Do not reuse the LOMA oil manifold filter. Always install a NEW filter during assembly.
