When replacing the compressor and any component of the A/C system, compressor oil should be added.

There will be the following three conditions:

  1. When any A/C component is replaced by a new one, calculate the amount of oil existing in each component and add the same amount of oil.
  2. To remove and install the engine or for other reasons, if no component is replaced but purging is inevitably needed, add 100 cc oil; if only gas replenishing is needed, it is not necessary to add any oil.
  3. The compressor lubricating oil is packaged in the new compressor according to the required volume for air-conditioning cycle, therefore when replacing the compressor with a new one, compressor oil should be discharged, and the discharge amount should be calculated as follows:

Amount of compressor oil to be discharged = Amount of oil packaged in the new compressor; Amount of remaining oil in the compressor being removed.
