A/C SYSTEM REPLACEMENT O-RINGS CAPTURED-TYPE O-RINGS

ALL 1985 MODELS AND THE 1984 "J" SERIES USE "CAPTURED"-TYPE O-RINGS AT REFRIGERANT HOSE AND TUBE CONNECTIONS. ALL OTHER PAST MODELS USE THE "STANDARD TYPE" O-RING CONFIGURATION. THE A/C COMPRESSOR PORTS TO HOSE ASSEMBLY CONTINUES TO USE THE SPEICIAL O-RING. A NEW O-RING, SPECIFICALLY FOR THE 3/4 INCH TUBE OF AN EVAPORATOR/CONDENSOR BLOCK FITTING, HAS BEEN RELEASED. THE 1/2 INCH TUBE OF THE EVAPORATOR/ CONDENSOR BLOCK FITTING WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE PREVIOUS CAPTURED O-RING. TORQUE SPECIFICATION FOR THE EVAPORATOR BLOCK FITTING BOLT EVAPORATOR BLOCK FITTING BOLT (1) 12 FT. LBS. CONDENSOR BLOCK FITTING BOLT (1) 9 FT. LBS.

INSTALLING O-RINGS OF IMPROPER SIZE AND/OR TYPE MAY RESULT IN A REFRIGERANT LEAK.
