Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2008 🢒 Omega VE 🢒 Transmission/Transaxle 🢒 Clutch 🢒 Clutch Pedal Engine Start Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure - Up to 17 Sept 2007
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

    2. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  4. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1950909 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the clutch pedal engine start switch electrical connector (1).

    6. Important: Rotate the clutch pedal engine start switch (2) clockwise a 1/4 turn, then pull to release from the clutch bracket (3).

  6. Remove the clutch pedal engine start switch (2).

Installation Procedure - Up to 17 Sept 2007

    Object Number: 1950918 Size: SH

    Important: Rotate the clutch pedal engine start switch (2) a 1/4 of a turn anti-clockwise to lock it into the clutch bracket (3).

  1. Install the clutch pedal engine start switch (2).
  2. Connect the clutch pedal engine start switch electrical connector (1).
  3. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement .
  4. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  6. Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  7. Road test vehicle for correct clutch operation.
