Important: Pry the outside door handle rod retaining clip (1) using a suitable tool.
Important: Remove the rubber blanking grommet to expose lock cylinder retaining bolt (1).
Important: Replace the gaskets (2, 3) when replacing the outside door handle (1, 4).
Important: The outside door handle retaining nut (1) must be loosened to remove the inner part of the outer door handle.
Important: Push the retaining tabs (2) inwards to release them then push the inner handle towards the front of the car to release the retaining pin (1).
Important: Lock in the retaining pin (1) by pushing towards the rear of the car then outwards to engage the retaining tabs (2).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Important: The outside door handle retaining nut (1) must be tightened to fasten the inner part of the outer door handle.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 4 N-m (35 lb in).
Important: Replace gaskets (2, 3) when replacing the outside door handle (1, 4).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 4 N-m (35 lb in).
Important: Attach the door handle rod retaining clip (1) by pressing clip together over door handle rod until an audible click is heard.
Important: Firmly press the water deflector where adhesive is applied to make sure of a water tight bond.
