Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement Five Door

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
3. Remove the lower garnish molding from the hatchback door.
4. Remove the bolts and the rear wiper motor.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Connect the electrical connector.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the wiper motor with the bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

3. Install the lower garnish molding to the hatchback door.
4. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.

Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement Wagon

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
3. Remove the liftgate trim cover.
4. Remove the bolts and the rear wiper motor.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1. Connect the electrical connector.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the wiper motor with the bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

3. Install the liftgate trim cover.
4. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
