Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820580 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the junction block bolt. Refer to Fuel Return Pipe Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor (CMP) connector.
  5. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820580 Size: SH
  1. Install the CMP sensor.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the CMP sensor retaining bolt to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  2. Connect the CMP sensor.
  3. Install the junction block bolt.
  4. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
