Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1376166 Size: SH

    Important: Note the position of the electrical connector and the discharge fitting. This information is important for the installation.

  1. Remove the power steering pump from the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
  2. Remove the position-retaining clip from the power steering pump actuator.
  3. Remove the actuator and the discharge fitting from the power steering pump.
  4. Remove and discard the actuator O-rings.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the discharge fitting and the power steering pump actuator with the NEW O-rings to the power steering pump. Position the discharge fitting to the location noted during disassembly.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the actuator to 62 N·m (46 lb ft).

  2. Install the position-retaining clip to the actuator. Ensure the clip and the connector are in the position noted during disassembly.
  3. Install the power steering pump to the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
  4. Connect the actuator electrical connector.
  5. Perform the Diagnostic System Check.
