Global Brake Fluid DOT-4 Usage

The following information may be helpful for the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process and dealer repairs on the hydraulic brake system.
The brake fluid type has been changed from DOT-3 to DOT-4 for Global usage.
All vehicles built in GMDAT Gunsan plant have been using DOT-4 as hydraulic brake fluid since July 19, 2008.
DOT-4 (Yellow Cap)
DOT-3 (Black Cap)
The hydraulic brake fluid type is shown on the brake reservoir cap top surface as shown above.
Notice: Do not mix DOT-3 and DOT-4 brake fluid. If mixed, this may affect the rubber seal components in the hydraulic brake system.
