  1. Turn the ignition ON.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to AUTO.

Using a voltmeter, measure that the battery voltage is available at the Rain Sensor Unit connector terminal 5.

Inspect for an open circuit between wiper switch connector terminal B2 (B1:W/O REAR FOG) and the Rain Sensor Unit Connector terminal 5.

Is the circuit open?

Replace the wiper switch.

Repair the open circuit between the wiper switch connector terminal B2 (B1:W/O REAR FOG) and the Rain Sensor Unit connector terminal 5.

  1. Turn the ignition ON.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to AUTO.

Using a voltmeter, measure the battery voltage pulsing at wiper motor connector terminal 2.

Replace the wiper motor.

Did you complete the replacement?

  1. Turn the ignition ON.
  2. Observe the voltage at the wiper switch connector terminal A6.

Is the voltage pulsating at the specified valve?

Replace the faulty wiper switch.

Repair the open circuit between the wiper switch and the wiper motor.
