Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on an alignment rack. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left and the right stabilizer shaft-to-stabilizer link nuts.

  3. Object Number: 1290741  Size: SH
  4. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamps.
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators.
  7. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Important: There must be no grease or dirt on the stabilizer shaft. Verify the stabilizer shaft is clean.

  1. Install the insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
  2. Install the insulator clamps to the insulators.

  3. Object Number: 1290741  Size: SH
  4. Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle.
  5. Important: Do not tighten the bolts yet.

  6. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
  7. Important: Do not tighten the nuts yet.

  8. Install the left and the right stabilizer shaft-to-stabilizer link nuts.
  9. Lower the vehicle onto the alignment rack in order to place the weight of the vehicle on the tires.
  10. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  11. Tighten the left and the right stabilizer shaft-to-stabilizer link nuts.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer shaft-to-stabilizer link nuts to 47 N·m (35 lb ft).

  13. Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  15. Lower the vehicle.
