Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle on an alignment rack. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator.
- Clean the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
Important: There must be no grease or dirt on the stabilizer shaft. Verify the stabilizer shaft is clean.
- Install the stabilizer shaft insulator to the stabilizer shaft.
- Install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp to the insulator.
Important: Do not tighten the bolts yet.
- Install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
- Lower the vehicle onto the alignment rack in order to place the weight of the vehicle on the tires.
- Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
