Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1290070  Size: SH
  1. Remove the transaxle from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement for the D16 transaxle or Transmission Replacement for the D20 transaxle.
  2. Remove the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts.
  3. Disconnect the concentric actuator cylinder pipe from the concentric actuator cylinder.

  4. Object Number: 1290071  Size: SH

    Important: When removing the bushing, do not remove it with excessive force.

  5. Remove the bushing from the concentric actuator cylinder pipe in the transaxle housing.
  6. Remove the concentric actuator cylinder pipe.

  7. Object Number: 1290073  Size: SH

    Important: For removal or installation, do not separate the oil seal fixing spring from the back side of the concentric actuator cylinder.

  8. Remove the O-ring and the concentric actuator cylinder.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1290074  Size: SH
  1. Install the concentric actuator cylinder and the pipe.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. After installing the pipe screw provisionally, tighten the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Tighten the pipe screw.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the pipe screw to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  7. Install the bushing onto the transaxle housing.
  8. Connect the pipe with bushing.
  9. Install the transaxle into the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement for the D16 transaxle or Transmission Replacement for the D20 transaxle.
