Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1348511 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve electrical connector.
  3. Remove the bolts and the EGR valve.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1348511 Size: SH
  1. Clean the cylinder head mating surface.
  2. Install a new EGR valve gasket.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the EGR valve with the retaining bolts and tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
  4. Connect the EGR valve electrical connector.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
