Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1701818 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Disconnect the direct ignition (DIS) system ignition coil connector.
  4. Remove the DIS system ignition coil retaining bolts.
  5. Remove the DIS system ignition coil.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1701818 Size: SH
  1. Install the DIS system ignition coil into the mounting location.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the retaining bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  3. Connect the DIS system ignition coil connector.
  4. Install the engine cover.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
