Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle on an alignment rack. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the left and the right stabilizer shaft-to-stabilizer link nuts.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamps.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Note: There must be no grease or dirt on the stabilizer shaft. Verify the stabilizer shaft is clean.
- Install the insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
- Install the insulator clamps to the insulators.
- Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle.
Note: Do not tighten the bolts yet.
- Install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
Notet: Do not tighten the nuts yet.
- Install the left and the right stabilizer shaft-to-stabilizer link nuts.
- Lower the vehicle onto the alignment rack in order to place the weight of the vehicle on the tires.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the left and the right stabilizer shaft-to-stabilizer link nuts and tighten to
47 N·m (35 lb ft).
- Install the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts and tighten to
40 N·m (30 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
