  1. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to INT.
  3. Measure the voltage at wiper motor connector terminal 2.

Is voltage within the specified range?

11-14 V

Go to Step 5

Inspect for an open circuit between wiper switch connector terminal B2 (B1:W/O REAR FOG) and wiper motor connector terminal 2.

Is there an open circuit?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Replace the wiper switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

--

System OK

Repair the open circuit between wiper switch connector terminal B2 (B1:W/O REAR FOG) and wiper motor connector terminal 2.

Did you complete the repair?

System OK

  1. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to INT.
  3. Observe the voltage at wiper motor connector terminal 6.

Is the voltage pulsating within the specified range?

11-14 V

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Replace the wiper motor.

Did you complete the replacement?

  1. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
  2. Measure the voltage at the wiper switch connector terminal A6.

Is voltage pulsating within the specified range?

11-14 V

Go to Step 8

Replace the wiper switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Repair the open circuit between the wiper switch and the wiper motor.
