🢒 Rear Brake Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the brake hose retainer.
Disconnect the brake pipe line from the disc brake hose.
Remove the rear disc brake hose retainer and the brake hose from the bracket on the steering knuckle shaft.
Remove the rear disc brake hose from the caliper.
Installation Procedure
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Connect the brake pipe line to the brake hose and tighten to
16 N·m (12 lb ft)
.
Install the retainer onto the rear brake hose bracket from the wheel house.
Install the rear disc brake hose to the caliper and tighten to
32 N·m (24 lb ft)
.
Install the rear disc brake hose and retainer on the bracket on the steering knuckle shaft.
Lower the vehicle.
Bleed the brake system. Refer to
Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
.
Inspect the brake system for leaks.
