Clutch Concentric Actuator Cylinder Replacement D16 and D20 Manual Transaxle

1. Remove the transaxle from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement for the D16 transaxle or Transmission Replacement for the D20 transaxle.
2. Remove the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts.
3. Disconnect the concentric actuator cylinder pipe from the concentric actuator cylinder.




Note: When removing the bushing, do not remove it with excessive force.

4. Remove the bushing from the concentric actuator cylinder pipe in the transaxle housing.
5. Remove the concentric actuator cylinder pipe.




Note: For removal or installation, do not separate the oil seal fixing spring from the back side of the concentric actuator cylinder.

6. Remove the O-ring and the concentric actuator cylinder.

1. Install the concentric actuator cylinder and the pipe.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. After installing the pipe screw provisionally, install the concentric actuator cylinder retaining bolts and tighten to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
3. Install the pipe screw and tighten to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).



4. Install the bushing onto the transaxle housing.
5. Connect the pipe with bushing.
6. Install the transaxle into the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement for the D16 transaxle or Transmission Replacement for the D20 transaxle.

Clutch Concentric Actuator Cylinder Replacement D33 Manual Transaxle

1. Remove the transaxle from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement.
2. Remove the concentric slave cylinder retaining bolts.
3. Disconnect the concentric slave cylinder pipe from the concentric slave cylinder.




Note: When removing the bushing, Make sure not to remove it with excessive force.

4. Remove the bushing from the concentric slave cylinder pipe in the transaxle housing.
5. Remove the concentric slave cylinder pipe.



6. Remove the O-ring and the concentric slave cylinder.

1. Install the O-ring and concentric slave cylinder.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. After installing the pipe screw provisionally, install the concentric slave cylinder retaining bolts and tighten to 8-12 N·m (71-106 lb in).
3. Tighten the pipe screw and tighten to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).



4. Install the bushing onto the transaxle housing.
5. Connect the pipe with bushing.
6. Install the transaxle into the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement.
