Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1887937 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery.
  2. Remove the instrument panel and tie-bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement.
  3. Remove the heater/air distributor case assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement.
  4. Separate the heater core housing from the heater/air distributor case assembly. Refer to Heater Core Replacement.

    5. Object Number: 1887939 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the pre heater wiring harness connector.
  6. Remove the pre heater mounting screws.
  7. Remove the pre heater.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1887939 Size: SH
  1. Install the pre heater with the screws.
  2. Connect the pre heater wiring harness connector.

    3. Object Number: 1887937 Size: SH
  3. Install the heater core housing to the evaporator housing. Refer to Heater Core Replacement.
  4. Install the heater/air distributor case assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement.
  5. Install the instrument panel and the tie-bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement
  6. Connect the negative battery.
