Removal Procedure
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
On vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, remove the rear brake drum detent screw and brake drum. Refer to
Drum Brake Adjustment
.
On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, remove the rear brake caliper and rear brake disc. Refer to
Rear Brake Caliper Replacement
.
Remove the hub bolts and hub assembly.
Installation Procedure
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the hub assembly bolts and tighten to
65 N·m (48 lb ft)
.
Install the hub nut.
On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, install the rear brake disc and rear brake caliper. Refer to
Rear Brake Caliper Replacement
.
On vehicles equipped with rear drum brakes, install the rear brake drum and the brake drum detent screw. Refer to
Drum Brake Adjustment
.
Install the wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
.
Lower the vehicle.
