Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 233533  Size: SH
  1. Remove the hose (1) from the reservoir cap.
  2. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  3. Object Number: 422202  Size: SH
  4. Remove the 2 coolant reservoir nuts.
  5. Remove the coolant reservoir from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 422202  Size: SH
  1. Install the coolant reservoir to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the two coolant reservoir nuts to the vehicle.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 coolant reservoir retaining nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  6. Object Number: 233533  Size: SH
  7. Install the coolant overflow hose (1) onto the reservoir cap.
