Tanks

The radiator has an upper tank and a lower tank made of a composite plastic.

The upper tank performs the following functions:

    • Increases the capacity of the coolant in the radiator
    • Ensures a sufficient supply of coolant in the radiator

The above functions cool the engine.

The transmission fluid cooler pipes run through the bottom tank of the radiator in vehicles with automatic transmission. The transmission fluid cooler pipes cool the transmission fluid.

Drain Plug

The drain plug is located at the lower right of the radiator on the rear side.

The drain plug uses an open/close system. The open/close system allows the engine coolant to drain from the radiator.
