Removal Procedure

    Important: Note the correct routing of the spark plug wires prior to removal. Incorrect routing may cause the engine to misfire and/or damage to the wires.

  1. Carefully release the spark plug wires (1) from the plastic retainers on the camshaft cover.

    2. Important: Do not pull on the spark plug wire. Internal damage may result.

  2. Grasp the spark plug boot and twist 1 half turn in each direction in order to release the boot.

  3. Remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs.

    4. Object Number: 238956 Size: SH
  4. Remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coils.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 244187 Size: SH
  1. Install the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
  2. Install the spark plug wires to the ignition coils.
  3. Carefully insert the spark plug wires (1) to the plastic retainers on the camshaft cover.
