Transmission Mount Replacement Left

Tool Required

J 28467-A Universal Support Fixture

1. Remove the positive and the negative battery cable. Refer to

   Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

   In Engine Electrical
2. Remove the battery hold down bracket bolt and nut.
3. Remove the battery bracket.
4. Remove the battery and the battery tray.
5. Disconnect the IAT connector.
6. Remove the air cleaner hose and cap assembly.
7. Remove the air filter.
8. Remove the air cleaner lower box bolts.
9. Remove the air cleaner box.
10. Support the engine with theJ 28467-A .
11. Remove the transaxle left mount through bolt.
12. Remove the bolts and the left transaxle mount.
13. Remove the transaxle bracket bolts and bracket.

1. Install the transaxle bracket and bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the transaxle bracket bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft)

2. Install the left transaxle mount and bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the left transaxle mount bolts to 60 N·m (44 lb ft)

3. Install the transaxle mount through bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the transaxle mount through bolt to 60 N·m (44 lb ft)

4. Unsupport the engine with the J 28467-B.
5. Install the air cleaner box.
6. Install the air cleaner box bolts. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement In Engine Controls.
7. Install the air filter.
8. Install the air cleaner hose and cap assembly.
9. Connect the IAT connector.
10. Install the battery tray and battery. Refer to Battery Replacement
11. Install the hold down bracket.
12. Install the hold down bracket bolt and nut.

Tighten
Tighten the hold down bracket bolt and nut to 12 N·m (106 lb in)

13. Install the positive and negative battery cables.
