This vehicle is equipped with a high pressure compact spare. The compact spare uses a narrow 10.2 cm (4 in) wide rim, although the wheel diameter is usually 2.5 cm (1 in) larger than the road wheels.

Do not use the compact spare wheel with the following accessories:

    • Standard tires
    • Snow tires
    • Wheel covers
    • Trim rings

Attempts to use these accessories with the compact spare wheel will result in damage to these items or other parts of the vehicle. Only use the compact spare on vehicles that offer the compact spare as original equipment.

Periodically inspect the inflation pressure of the compact spare. Maintain the inflation pressure of the compact spare at 415 kPa (60 psi). Use standard tire changing equipment and procedures in order to mount and dismount the compact spare from the wheel. Ensure that the beads completely seat at 275 kPa (40 psi). The tire may then be safely inflated to 415 kPa (60 psi).
