Inspect the linings when the wheels are removed (tire rotation, etc.) and as suggested in Maintenance Schedule in General Information.

Inspect both ends of the outer pad by looking through the lining inspection hole in the caliper.

These are the points where the highest rate of wear normally occurs.

At the same time, inspect the thickness of the inner pad in order to ensure that the pad has not worn prematurely.

Replace pads if the minimum thickness has been exceeded.

The minimum thickness of the lining material is 1 mm (0.039 in).
