Use a scan tool in order to clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Complete the Diagnostic System Check before clearing the DTCs. Verify the proper system operation and the absence of DTCs after you have completed the clearing procedure. The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) will not permit you to clear DTCs until all DTCs have been displayed and the malfunction is corrected. The following methods will not clear the DTCs:

Use the following procedure in order to clear the DTCs with the Scan Tool:

1. Connect a scan tool to the OBD2 Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
3. Select S platform from the Chassis Menu.
4. Select Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) from the Application Menu.
5. Select Clear DTC Information.
6. The scan tool will remind you that all DTC data will be erased.
7. Return to the Application Menu and select current Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) to confirm clearing of DTCs.
