Removal Procedure
- Remove the front floor rear console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument
Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Remove the following components from the front seat:
• | The inner adjuster finish cover (2) |
• | The front seat belt buckle (1) |
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
seat belt buckle (1) to the front seat. Secure the buckle with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt buckle bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).
- Install the inner adjuster finish cover (2) to the front seat.
Secure the cover with the screw.
- Install the front floor rear console. Refer to
Console Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges
and Console.
