Go to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) System Check

  1. Remove the DRL relay in fuse and relay block 3 located in the RH front engine compartment.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Connect a fused jumper from cavity 2 to cavity 4 in the cavity of the removed DRL relay in fuse and relay block 3.

Did the headlamps change intensity?

Measure the voltage from cavity 3 of the fuse and relay block 3 to chassis ground.

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn the engine OFF.
  2. Reinstall the DRL relay.
  3. Disconnect the DLR control module connector. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement for access.
  4. Connect a fused jumper between the DRL control module connector cavities 18 and 19 to ground.

Do the headlamps illuminate?

Replace the DRL control module. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement .

Locate and repair the open in the RED/BLK wire between the DRL relay and the DRL control module. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Locate and repair the open in the RED/WHT wire between the DRL relay and the DRL fuse. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Locate and repair the open in the WHT/BLK wire between the DRL relay and SP254. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
