  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Turn the windshield wiper/washer switch to the Off position.
  4. Test for B+ at cavity 6 of the windshield wiper motor connector using a J 39200 .

Was the value tested equal to B+?

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper/washer switch connector.
  2. Turn the windshield wiper/washer switch to the off position.
  3. Test for continuity between cavity 16 and cavity 7 of the windshield wiper/washer switch using a J 39200 .

Is there continuity between cavity 16 and cavity 7?

Test for continuity between cavity 16 of the windshield wiper/washer switch connector and cavity 5 of the windshield wiper motor connector using a J 39200 .

Was there continuity in the BLU/WHT wire?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 8

Replace the windshield wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in the BLU wire between the windshield wiper motor connector cavity 6 and SP251. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the windshield wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .

Repair the open in the BLU/WHT wire between cavity 16 of the windshield wiper/washer switch connector and cavity 5 of the windshield wiper motor connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
