  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Disconnect the windshield washer pump connector.
  3. Using a J 39200 , test for B+ at cavity 2 (BLU wire) of the windshield washer pump connector.

Was the voltage reading equal to B+?

With the windshield washer pump connector still disconnected:

  1. Turn the washer switch to the on position.
  2. Using a J 39200 , test for continuity between cavity 1 (BLU/YEL wire) of the windshield washer pump connector and ground.

Was continuity tested?

--

Go to Step 7

Using a J 39200 , test for B+ at cavity 5 of connector C3 of junction block 2.

Was the voltage reading equal to B+?

--

Go to Step 5

Repair the open condition in the BLU wire between cavity 2 of the windshield washer pump and cavity 5 of connector C3 of junction block 2. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in junction block 2. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the windshield washer pump. Refer to Washer Pump Replacement in Wiper Systems

With the windshield washer pump connector still disconnected:

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper/washer switch connector. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement for access.
  2. Using a J 39200 , test for continuity between cavity 1 (BLU/YEL wire) of the windshield washer pump connector and cavity 11 of the windshield wiper/washer switch connector.

Was continuity tested?

Repair the open in the BLU/YEL wire between cavity 11 of the wiper/washer switch connector and cavity 1 of the windshield washer pump connector. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Place the windshield wiper/washer switch in the on position.
  2. Using a J 39200 , test for continuity between cavity 2 (BLU/YEL wire) and cavity 11 of the windshield wiper/washer switch.

Was continuity tested?

Replace the windshield wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .

Repair the open in the WHT/BLK wire between cavity 2 of the windshield wiper/washer switch connector and G203. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
