Floor Air Outlet Duct Replacement LH Rear

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 241645  Size: SH

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the left body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Unclip and remove the left front side door sill trim plate (1).

  4. Object Number: 328462  Size: SH
  5. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  6. • The retainers (4)
    • The footrest (5)
  7. Remove the front floor front console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  8. Remove the plastic retainer (3) that secures the floor panel carpet to the bulkhead.

  9. Object Number: 232228  Size: SH
  10. Remove the three bolts (1) that secure the powertrain control module (3).
  11. Disconnect the three PCM electrical connectors (2).
  12. Remove the powertrain control module (3) from the vehicle.

  13. Object Number: 328459  Size: SH
  14. Remove the two plastic retainers (2) that secure the floor panel carpet to the left I/P center support brace (1).
  15. Position the floor panel carpet back in order to the access the left rear floor air outlet duct.
  16. Remove the left rear floor air outlet duct from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 328459  Size: SH
  1. Install the left rear floor air outlet duct to the vehicle.
  2. Reposition the floor panel carpet back to its original position.
  3. Install the two plastic retainers (2) that secure the floor panel carpet to the left I/P center support brace (1).

  4. Object Number: 232228  Size: SH
  5. Connect the three powertrain control module electrical connectors (2).
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the powertrain control module (3) to the vehicle. Secure the module with the three bolts (1).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the powertrain control module bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  9. Install the plastic retainer (3) that secures the floor panel carpet to the bulkhead.
  10. Install the front floor front console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  11. Install the footrest (5) to the vehicle. Secure the footrest with the two plastic retainers (4).

  12. Object Number: 241645  Size: SH
  13. Install the left front side door sill trim plate (1).
  14. Install the left body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  15. Connect the negative battery cable.

Removal Procedure

  5. Remove the front floor front console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  6. Remove the plastic retainer (3) that secures the floor panel carpet to the bulkhead.

  7. Object Number: 232228  Size: SH
  8. Remove the three bolts (1) that secure the powertrain control module (3).
  9. Disconnect the three PCM electrical connectors (2).
  10. Remove the powertrain control module (3) from the vehicle.

  11. Object Number: 328459  Size: SH
  12. Remove the two plastic retainers (2) that secure the floor panel carpet to the right I/P center support brace (1).
  13. Position the floor panel carpet back in order to the access the right rear floor air outlet duct.
  14. Remove the right rear floor air outlet duct from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the right rear floor air outlet duct to the vehicle.
  2. Reposition the floor panel carpet back to its original position.
  3. Install the two plastic retainers (2) that secure the floor panel carpet to the right I/P center support brace (1).

  4. Object Number: 232228  Size: SH
  5. Connect the three powertrain control module electrical connectors (2).
