  1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
  2. Using a fused jumper wire, connect one side to the cavity 2 of the connector and the other side to ground.
  3. Set the conditions to allow the audible warning to indicate the key in ignition alarm.

Does the alarm sound?

  1. Disconnect the side of the fused jumper wire that originally went to ground.
  2. Connect the side of the jumper wire that originally went to ground to the ignition switch cavity 1.

Does the alarm sound?

Using a fused jumper wire, connect one side to the multifunction alarm module C2 cavity 4 and the other side to ground.

Does the alarm sound?

Replace the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in the WHT/BLK wire between the ignition switch and G204. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the multifunction alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

Repair the open in the BLU/BLK wire between the ignition switch cavity 2 and the multifunction alarm module C2 cavity 4. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
