  1. Move the vehicle outside and away from metal objects.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and remove the ignition key.
  3. Exit the vehicle and close the doors.
  4. Standing at the rear bumper, aim the transmitter at the vehicle in order to operate all functions on both transmitters (if available).

  1. Stand 2 meters (5 feet) from the vehicle at several points around the vehicle.
  2. Check the operation of both transmitters at each location.

Does one transmitter operate at a location where the other transmitter fails?
