- Turn ignition OFF.
- Locate the cruise control module which is on the RH side of the
instrument panel next to the instrument panel compartment.
- Disconnect the cruise control module connector.
- Connect a J 39200
between the cruise control module connector terminal 11 and
ground.
Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

| With the cruise control module still disconnected.
- Disconnect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil
connector C2
- Connect a J 39200
between terminal 3 and terminal 5 of connector C2.
Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

- Check the cruise control switch connector for poor connection.
- If OK, replace the cruise control switch. Refer to

| With the cruise control module still disconnected.
- Disconnect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil
connector C2
- Connect a J 39200
between terminal 11 of the cruise control module coil connector
and ground.
Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

| Repair the short to ground between the WHT/BLU wire of
terminal 11 of the cruise control module connector and the inflatable
restraint steering wheel module coil.

| With the cruise control module still disconnected.
- Disconnect the instrument cluster assembly connector C4.
- Connect a J 39200
between terminal 4 of the cruise control module coil and ground.
Is the resistance equal to the specified value?

| Repair the short to ground between the GRN/RED wire of
the cruise control module terminal 4 and terminal 7 of the instrument
cluster assembly connector C4.
Is the repair complete?
