Did you perform the Power Windows System Check?

  1. Disconnect the LH window/door lock switch.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire to cavity 4 of the connector
  3. Depending on the window's position attach the other end of the jumper wire to one of the following positions:
  4. • If the window is down cavity 5
    • If the window is up cavity 1
  5. Connect a second fused jumper wire to cavity 10 of the connector.
  6. Depending on the window's position actuate the other end of the jumper wire to one of the following positions:
  7. • If the window is down cavity 1
    • If the window is up cavity 5
    • Turn the ignition to the run position.

Did the window move?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the LH window/door lock switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Power Windows System Check

Test both the GRN and the YEL wire using a J 39200 DMM between the LH Front window motor and the LH window/door lock switch for an open.

Do either of the wires have an open?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in the wire. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Windows System Check

Replace the LH front window motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
